he name of the company was taken from Guillaume Lenthéric, a French distiller and dispenser of rare perfumes in late 19th century France. Guillaume Lenthéric was a fashionable hairdresser who opened a salon in 1875 in Paris's prestigious Rue St. Honoré. 34 fragances were created. The first bottles were in Baccarat crystal. Shanghai was launched in 1916.
